Abstract:
Depending on the concentration, the ion-exchange conditions, and the preliminary treatment, the cations of transition metals are stabilized in the zeolite framework with a varying degree of aggregation [1-3], which is very important for catalysis. In the present work we used electronic spectra to study the copper content of NaY zeolite, in order to elucidate the special features of the electronic state of the Cu 2+ exchange cations in the zeolite lattice.
