Abstract:
The initial rates of the catalytic oxidation of CO and of the reactions of oxygen and carbon monoxide with vanadium pentoxide have been measured in the temperature range 300-450 C. It has been shown that the rates of catalyst oxidation and reduction are close to one another and are approximately an order of magnitude less than the rate of catalysis.
