Abstract:
The crystal structure of CuCr2O4 satd. with H at 590 K was investigated using x-ray and neutron diffractometry (at. coordinates given). H possess 2 states: at. H occupies octahedral interstate sites being forbidden in the spinel structure (16c position), and protons formed from exchange interaction between H and Cu ions (32e). Protons interact with lattice O making hydroxide bonds.
