Abstract:
Nanodiamond (ND) reactivity and graphitization ability limit the temperature range where it can be effectively used. At the same time new nanocarbons (NC) can be produced using controlled ND graphitization (namely: onion-like carbon (OLC), sp2/sp3 nanocomposites, nanographite). Here we shortly review the data on the diamond graphitization with emphasizing of the low temperature graphitization at 1370-1870 K and OLC properties
