Abstract:
Comparison of the chemical shifts of Y(AA)a (AA = acetylacetonate) (34 ppm [2]) with the values found in our
work indicates that coordination number of Y(AA) 3 in aqueous solution is more than 6 and the coordination sphere of this complex is partially filled by water molecules. Thus, Say NMR spectroscopy may provide information on the structure of yttrium complexes and, thereby, RE elements in solution, where the feasibility of using structural methods is extremely limited.
