Abstract:
In this paper, we report on a statistical lattice model of a supported catalyst particle developed with allowance
for changes in the shape and surface morphology of the active particle under the action of external factors.
Our findings demonstrate that the inclusion of these factors in the model leads to a dramatic change in
the surface morphology and even in the shape of supported nanoparticles as a result of the adsorption of
compounds sufficiently strongly interacting with surface atoms of the particle. Adsorption isotherms in
these cases also significantly differ from the ideal Langmuir isotherm
