Abstract:
In this work, the influence of ruthenium nanoparticle size on the catalyst activity
was studied in order to find an optimal Ru catalyst for hydrogenation of another
sugar- galactose, which is an epimer of glucose and can be derived from
hemicelluloses. In addition experiments were performed with a C5 sugar – arabinose.
