Abstract: For small Pd particles on hematite support, specific catalytic activity in the reaction of low-temperature CO oxidation was found to be greatly enhanced indicating strong synergism. Possible reasons for this phnenomena such as CO and oxygen spillover and stabilization of the oxidized Pd forms due to support effect are considered.
