Abstract: Benzene dimer cation radicals were detected on sulfated zirconia at low temperature and benzene coverage. Two temperature regions for their transformations were observed. Below 473 K the radical concentration remained stable reflecting the amount of strong surface acceptor sites. Above 623 K it increased drastically.
