Abstract: A study has been made of the formation of phase composition, pore structure, and catalytic properties of a vanadium-molybdenum oxide catalyst obtained by spray-drying a solution of ammonium paramolybdate and vanadyl oxalate, followed by heat-treatment in a stream of air. A comparative study has been made of the catalyst properties in relation to the chemical nature of the original vanadium compound, i. e. , whether it is vanadyl oxalate or ammonium metavanadate.
