Abstract:
A study has been made of the formation of pore structure in bismuth-molybdenum oxide catalysts with the composition Bi2O3 3MoO3, supported on SiO2, depending on the treating temperature and the ratio of the active component and the support. The sintering of the catalyst that is observed at temperatures greater than 500 degree C is due to processes of SiO2 transfer through the low-melting Bi2O3 3MoO3 phase. The sintering of the silica gel does not depend on the quantity of active component when the degree of filling of the pore space of the support is greater than 0. 08, but is determined solely by the treating temperature.
