Abstract: The structure of Al2O3.3H2O was studied by x-​ray diffractometry and NMR spectrometry. The Al is octahedrally coordinate to H2O and O2-​ and OH-​ ions. Dehydration reduces the coordination to tetrahedral. The crystals are cubic.
