Реферат: The initial kinetics and relaxation of the rate of partial and extensive oxidation of ethylene have been studied on model silver catalysts (powders and films). In regions separated by the maximum of the specific rate of epoxidation the kinetic behavior of the reaction is different. Under normal laboratory conditions (10(3) less-than-or-equal-to PC2H4 less-than-or-equal-to 10(4) Pa, PO2 almost-equal-to 8.10(3) Pa, 473-523 K) the reaction is characterized by an order of 0.3-0.4 with respect to ethylene, an activation energy of 50-60 kJ/mole, selectivities of 0.3-0.4 (rising to 0.6-0.7 when the pressure of the reaction mixture is greatly increased), and a rate which decreases with time while the selectivity is almost constant. At very much lower partial pressure of ethylene (PC2H4 less-than-or-equal-to 5 Pa) the process is characterized by orders greater than one with respect to ethylene, a very weak temperature dependence of the rate (E less-than-or-equal-to 4 kJ/mole), and initial selectivities greater-than-or-equal-to 0.1-0.15 which increase with time. The reaction kinetics are explained using a model developed from separate physicochemical studies of stages in the catalytic process.
