Abstract: Kinetic oxidation of CO to CO2 by Mo−V−P heteropolyacid in the presence of an aqua complex of Pd(II) has been studied. The reaction is suggested to involve the participation of carbonyl complexes of Pd(I). It has been established that VO2+ ions formed in HPA dissociation inhibits the reaction.
