Abstract: The acetoxylation of C2H4 was carried out with Ac2O or AcOH; Pd(OAc)2, Pd(NO3)2, or PdCl2; and AcONO2 or a dioxane-HNO3 reaction product. The AcOCH2CH2OH-AcOCH2CH2OAc ratio could be varied by carying the reaction conditions. Also, the absorption of C2H4 and O could be carried out sep.
