Tags Pt was deposited from Pt(π-C4H7)2 solutions on SiO2 surface containing low-valence Re ions and the resulting catalyst was reduced by H at 600°. The low-valence Re ions stabilized fine particles of metallic Pt, increased Pt dispersion, and increased the activity of the catalyst in C6H6 hydrogenation.
