Reactions of limitation of chain growth during ethylene polymerization have been investigated on some supported metalorganic and tetrahydroborate (borohydride) catalysts. The main reactions of chain transfer were determined, and the ratios of rate constants of spontaneous chain transfer, and of transfer to monomer, to the propagation rate constant were evaluated. Data relating to the molecular structure of the obtained polymers are presented.
