Abstract: Catalytic oxidation of environmental contaminants by O was investigated in water phase at elevated temperatures and pressures. Cl- and N containing substances in model solutions, real wastewater of chocolate factory and alc. plant (-O-containing compounds), petrochem. plant (-S substances), chem.-recovery plant (-ammonia, S substances) were used for tests. Initial concentrations of contaminants were 0.1-60 g/L, pH were 6.0-14. In the presence of graphite-like carbons (Sibunits, designed in Boreskov Institute of Catalysis) and Ru/Sibunit the most of substances are oxidized completely at 493-513 K. Among of catalysts of different nature (Pt/Al2O3, Fe2O3/Al2O3 CuCr2O4/Al2O3, Ru-supported carbonous systems, and Sibunit) the Sibunits are most active and selective, and stable in alk. medium.
