Abstract: In the paper samples of ethanol obtained from oat hulls was rectified to 94% (w/w) strength and then used to produce ethylene on alumina catalyst. Taking into account the ethylene from ethanol productivity index we estimated the bioresources mass and the cultivated area value required to produce 1 ton of ethylene. An impact of oat-hulls-bioethanol impurities to ethylene production process was studied and prospects for commercial application were made.
