Abstract: New separation layers were obtained on the basis of fluorinated polyimides (PI) deposited on a diatomite support. The effect of thermal treatment of the separation layers on their texture and chromatographic characteristics was studied. The selectivity of chromatographic columns loaded with the new adsorbents was first evaluated. The adsorbent selectivity was found to depend on the pyrolysis temperatures in the range from 250 to 1100o C. The adsorbents prepared ensure the selective separation of permanent gases and hydrocarbons on their simultaneous presence.
