Abstract:
Two PtPd-zeolite catalysts with bimodal pore texture and proton acidity, containing Pt species inaccessible for sulfur deactivation in ZSM-5 zeolite were developed using the Song concept. The prepared catalysts were used for deep desulfurization (HDS) of straight-run and secondary diesel fuel with sulfur content up to 2000 ppm. It is apparent that it is reasonable to pursue the both routes of hydrotreating catalyst development. The Pt(Pd)-zeolite catalysts demonstrate high efficiency in deep desulfurization of low-sulfur straight-run diesel fuel at 280-320°C. These catalysts may be of interest for one-stage hydrotreatment of diesel fractions with a sulfur content of 850-2000 ppm, e.g. those produced from Azerbaijan oils.
