Реферат: We present the data on the efficiency of catalytic filamentary carbon (CFC), manufactured as granules, as a catalyst of the direct oxidation of H2S to S under conditions of the SuperClaus process, purification of geothermal vapor, and of underground combustion gases. CFC is an efficient and low cost catalyst for direct oxidation of H2S to S at temperatures to 200°, especially in O-excess. CFC is especially effective when gases meant for purification contains large amounts of vapor (10 vol.%). The C surface of CFC is active for selective oxidation of H2S. When time of CFC synthesis is shorter than the time of complete catalyst deactivation, CFC may contain active Ni which conversion and decreases the selectivity of the process.
