Abstract: The tungsten-containing composite based on PMMA was obtained by method of radiation-initiated polymerization. The composite was investigated by several methods. The XANES/EXAFS method showed that tungsten in the composite is in the carbonyl form. The study of the luminescent properties showed that the tungsten-containing composite has the properties of an ultrafast X-ray scintillator in the red region of UV-spectrum. © 2020 American Institute of Physics Inc.
