Abstract: A new pentanuclear “cylinder”-like cobalt(II) phenylsilsesquioxane [(PhSiO1.5)10(CoO)5(NaOH)] exhibits a slow relaxation of the magnetization and a high catalytic activity and stereoselectivity in the oxidation of alkanes and alcohols.
