Abstract: A mathematical model in a macroscopic approximation is used to perform a theoretical study of solid-phase mechanochemical synthesis in a binary powder mixture during its mechanical processing in a mechanoactivator (energy-intensive mixer). Analytical relationships are obtained for the parameters that determine the process. The formulas are used to propose a way of finding an effective kinetic constant characterizing the degree of homogenization of the powder mixture (the inverse problem approach)
