Abstract: Pt/хGa/Al2O3 systems were synthesized and studied in the coupled conversion of methane with n-pentane at a temperature of 550 °C. Activation of methane in the presence of the synthesized samples proceeds with the formation of reactive hydrocarbon fragments and hydrogen. Properties of the synthesized catalysts were characterized using temperatureprogrammed reduction, diffuse reflectance IR spectroscopy of adsorbed CO and chemisorption of H2 and CO.
