Abstract:
The influence of time and temperature of gasification of carbon black of grades P399-E, N339 and P701 in a carbon dioxide medium on texture characteristics was shown. It was found that increasing of temperature and time gasification leads to an increasing of the surface area of all carbon black samples, probably due to the burning of amorphous carbon in intercrystallite space. The total pore volume and micropore volume for samples P701 and N339 increase with increasing time gasification and temperature gasification, and for a highly porous sample P399-E, they are jumping. The surface area and total pore volume of P399-E carbon black sharply decrease during gasification for more than 14 hours at 900 °C, which may be related to destruction of carbon black primary particles.
