Abstract: Calcium orthophosphate with the whitlockite structure stabilized by Cr, Ni ions (Ca-CrNi-phosphate) is of interest as a catalyst for reforming hydrocarbons. The structural features of this phase have been studied by means of infrared spectroscopy at room temperature and when heated. It was shown that at temperatures above 500 o a Ca-Cr-Ni Phosphate is Formed which Possesses a Crystal Structure with the D63d space group.
