Abstract: In this work, we studied the electronic diffuse reflectance (UV-Vis DR) spectra of Cu-ZSM-5 catalysts after vacuum heat treatment and identified absorption bands that arise from linear oxide structures of the –O–Cu2+– O–Cu2+–O– type. These bands are due to ligand–metal charge transfer (LMCT) in such structures.
