Abstract: Synthesis of layered Al2O3/Al composites by using aluminum foil hydrothermal oxidn. at 150-250° with subsequent sintering at 540° has been investigated. Evolution of the macro- and microtexture of the oxide layer has been studied. The nonuniformity of oxide layer relief is discussed.
