Abstract:
In the present work, the catalysts mLnNi0.9Ru0.1О3/nMg-γ-Al2O3 (Ln = La, Pr, m=10-20%wt, n=6-15%wt) were synthesized and tested in ESR, steam and oxy-steam reforming of glycerol (GSR and GOSR) as granulated and structured ones. The influence of Mg content, Ln nature and preparation method on Ni(Ru) state and dispersion, catalysts stability to coking have been studied.
Study of the catalysts activity in ESR and GSR shows that the presence of Mg provides considerably higher values of ethanol and glycerol conversion, hydrogen yield and coking stability as well.
The optimal catalyst supported on structured foam substrate shows a high and stable performance in ESR in a pilot reactor in a realistic reaction mixture over 50 hours.
