Реферат:
Processing of halogenated hydrocarbons (HalHCs) into carbon nanofibers (CNFs) based on CVD attracts much attention today. This study is devoted to the synthesis of CNF via non-catalytic pyrolysis of HalHCs and wastes at moderate temperature (600-750°C) on different substrates, including mineral microfibers (MF).
The growth of carbon filaments was found to occur in course of the pyrolysis of individual HalHCs (C2H4Cl2, CF2Cl2, CCl4) as well as their complex mixtures (waste) in presence of H2. Carbon deposits were shown to be represented by very long fibers of about 2 μm in diameter. All filaments are composed of fused spheres. Possible mechanism of non-catalytic growth of such carbon structures will be discussed.
The morphology of produced non-catalytic CNF was found to be influenced by the nature of substrate upon which carbon deposition takes place. The developed approach was successfully applied for synthesis of hierarchical CNF/MF composite obtained by non-catalytic pyrolysis of organochlorine wastes over surface of SiO2 microfibers at 750 °C.
Thus, non-catalytic pyrolysis of halogenated hydrocarbons at moderate temperature was demonstrated to be effective in synthesis of CNFs and hierarchical carbon-mineral composites.
