The proposed catalyst for the deep oxidization of organic compounds and carbon monoxide contains in an active component manganese (2.7 - 11.5 wt. %, elemental manganese equivalent) and aluminium oxides (the rest). The manganese is present in the form of the non-stoichiometric manganese oxide beta -Mn3O4+x (wherein 0.1 </= x </= 0.25), which accounts for 80-95% of all the manganese atoms in the active catalyst component, and manganese aluminate, which accounts for 20-5 % of all the manganese atoms present. Aluminium oxide is represented in the active component by the high-temperature forms alpha -Al2O3 (72-95 % of the catalyst mass) and ( delta + theta )-Al2O3 (18-5 % of the catalyst mass). The active catalyst component has a block flaw structure with particle sizes of 50-70 ANGSTROM . The phase composition and structure of the catalyst are formed by heat treatment at a temperature of 900-1000 DEG C.
