English abstract: The title catalyst, used for oxidizing MeOH to HCHO, is prepd. by mixing aq. solns. of trivalent Fe and (NH4)2MoO4 at a const. pH of 2, followed by drying, molding, and calcining the catalyst. To obtain a highly resistant and active catalyst, 70-90% of the calcined catalyst powder is mixed with 30-10% of a catalyst gel of the same compn.
