А process for the preparation of а procatalyst for preparing а catalyst composition for an olefin polymerization from а solution of R4zMgX42-z, wherein the solution of R4zMgX42-z is prepared Ьу а process comprising the steps of: (i) reacting а magnesium powder with an organic halide in the presence of an organic solvent at а temperature of Тl; (ii) stiпing the reaction mixture obtained in step (i) for at lest 1 hour at T1; (iii) raising the temperature of the reaction mixture obtained at step (ii) to a temperature T2; (iv) stirring the reaction mixture obtained in step (iii) for at least 1 hour at Т2; (v) decanting or filtering the reaction mixture obtained in step (iv) to obtain а transparent solution of R4zMgX2-z in the organic solvent; Wherein TI ranges from 70°С - 90°С, Т2 ranges from Т1 +30°С to Т1 +40°С.
