Реферат:
Catalytic combustion has long been in use, and a wide set of catalysts has been developed for this purpose. However, the problem of catalytic materials for high-temperature combustion is yet of considerable interest. The catalyst must be able to ignite at 350–400°C combustion of natural gas passing with the flow rate of 1–20m/s and must be stable at temperatures higher than 1250°C for significant performance time. Considerable attention has been focused on the preparation of ceramics based on cation-substituted hexaaluminates for catalytic combustion at 700–1300°C. Substituted barium hexaaluminate generally retains the larger surface area as compared to various oxide catalysts supported on unsubstituted one. The well-known methods based on solid–solid reactions are extremely simple but produce inhomogeneity and low-surface-area values. Hexaaluminate-like ceramic supports and catalysts with large surface areas have been prepared from alkoxides because of the uniform mixing of the components and decrease in temperature of the product formation. Mechanochemical synthesis is a new way of preparing complex oxides under mechanical stress at relatively low temperatures. The reactions can take place under mild conditions. Even if desired materials cannot be obtained by mechanical stressing, solid-state reactions are often promoted on the subsequent heating after grinding of an initial reactant mixture. This chapter describes the preparation of cation-substituted barium hexaaluminates using mechanical activation methods. The effects of precursors, milling regimes, and calcination temperature on their syntheses are discussed in the chapter.
