Реферат:
The platinum on Sibunit support is a promising catalyst because of the high catalytic activity of Pt, support with high surface area, and the possibility of its surface modification. But it is critically important to have in-depth knowledge about the influence of preparation conditions during the wet impregnation method, a widely used process, for the preparation of effective catalysts.
To study the influence of preparation conditions on the characteristics of the final catalysts the set of the Pt/Sibunit samples with varied preparation conditions was studied by XPS (X-ray photoelectrons spectroscopy), TEM (transmission electron microscopy), and BET adsorption method at every preparation stage.
BET analysis of supports has revealed the increase of volume of pores and surface area due to etching of the surface of support after Sibunit pretreatment with HNO3. XPS indicated the presence of -NO2 groups and increment of concentration of oxygen functional groups, which act as adsorption sites on support. Platinum nitrate (IV) solution and the same solution modified with TMA (tetramethylammonium hydroxide) impregnated with original and pre-treated support were analyzed by XPS and according to that, Pt reduction just after precursor deposition was more profound in the case of Pt precursor solution modified by TMA and HNO3 pre-treated support. TEM exhibited the wide particle size distribution due to migration and agglomeration of particles in the case of H2 and narrow particle size distribution with a mean particle size of ~2 nm when NaBH4 was used with TMA modified solution.
Our work of deeply investigating the influence of preparation conditions on Pt/Sibunit catalyst provides the solutions to control the chemical states and particle size distribution of the active component of the final catalysts.
The author is very appreciative of Kovtunova L.M. for sample preparation. This work was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation within the governmental order for Boreskov Institute of Catalysis (project AAAA-A21-121011390011-4).
