Abstract: Kinetic data indicated that the rate-determining step in the Pd-catalyzed oxidation of C2H4 by p-benzoquinone was the reversible oxidation of complexed Pd0 to complexed Pd2+. The effect of the ligands on the catalytic activity of the complexes was discussed.
