Abstract:
The previously unknown classes of fluoroorganoboron compounds, lithium perfluoroorganotrimethoxyborates Li [R FB(OCH 3) 3] (R F = C 2F 5, CF 2=CF and C 6F 5), were prepared by the nucleophilic addition of R FLi to B(OCH 3) 3 in ether. The Li [R FB(OCH 3) 3] salts contain no ether coordinated at Li+ and are stable at room temperature towards elimination. In solution they show a differentiated behaviour of protodeborylation.
