Реферат: An analysis of the autothermal reforming (ATR) kinetic models reported in the literature was performed. The ATR model equations, kinetic parameters, experimental setup, and comparisons of experimental and simulated results were analyzed and discussed. The greatest part of the kinetic models accurately predicted the experimental data. The effect of the main operating variables on methane conversion and product selectivity are discussed. However, it is recognized that there is a need for a robust kinetic model of methane ATR, being the main challenge the accurate prediction of product yields and the temperature profile along the catalyst bed. The development of a new kinetic model needs to consider a balance between the number of kinetic parameters and the amount of experimental data, this latter is one of the main activities for further optimization of the methane ATR reactor technology.
