Abstract:
The porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are currently regarded as one of the main platforms for energy efficient
solutions in such important industrial tasks as hydrocarbon mixtures separation, CO2 sequestration and heterogenous catalysis. These processes are greatly dependent on the guest-host interaction of the adsorbed species with the hosting framework. In case of MOFs the guest host interactions are influenced by the presence of active sites, like open metal centers, capable to form hydrogen bonds functional groups (i.e. OH species) and the potential presence of defects.
